In his dialogue with Nicodemus, Jesus taught that Baptism was necessary for salvation. "No one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit" (Jn 3:5). After his Resurrection, Jesus met with the eleven Apostles and gave them the commission to preach the Gospel and baptize, telling them, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved" (Mk 16:16) (from USCCB website)
Children under the age of 7
If you would like to have your children baptized here at St. Mary of the Mills Church, we ask that the parents & godparents take a baptism class.
You can register for the class by calling the Parish Office.
If the godparents belong to another parish then they can take the baptism class at their own church.
After you have taken the class, please call the parish office to schedule your child’s baptism. Fill out the Baptism Application Form and e-mail or drop it at the Parish Office as soon as possible – Attn: Claudia Santiago, Parish Secretary.
The Godparent form needs to be filled out by the Godparents and their church and needs to be return to our offices 2 to 3 weeks before the schedule Baptism.

Children older than 7 years
Those who have children older than 7 years or are interested in being baptized themselves will join us in our deeper process of initiation called RCIA.
